Billing FAQ
Quick answers to the most common questions about DontBreak plans, test run counting, run packs, and managing your subscription. For the full picture, see Plans & Billing.
How are test runs counted?
Every enabled browser × device combination counts as one run each time a test executes. A test with Chrome Desktop, Chrome Mobile, and Firefox Desktop enabled consumes 3 runs per execution — whether you launch it manually, on a schedule, or from CI/CD. Runs are deducted when the test launches.
Your usage and remaining balance are always visible on the Subscription page in the app. See Run Quotas & Usage for details, and Browsers & Devices for trimming combinations you don't need.
What happens when I hit my monthly limit?
New launches are blocked with a "You have reached your monthly test run limit" message — nothing is silently queued or charged. Existing tests, reports, and settings stay fully accessible; you just can't start new runs until your quota resets at the start of the next billing period, you buy a run pack, or you upgrade your plan.
What are run packs and do they expire?
Run packs are one-time top-ups for months when you need more runs than your plan includes: Small (500 runs, $19), Medium (2,000 runs, $59), and Large (10,000 runs, $199). You buy them from the Subscription page with a single Stripe payment — no recurring charge.
Pack runs don't expire: unused bonus runs carry over month to month. Your plan's monthly quota is always consumed first, and pack runs are only drawn down after the plan quota is exhausted — so a pack you buy in a heavy month is still there for the next spike.
How do I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Open the Subscription page in the app. It lists all plans (Solo, Team, Agency) with a monthly/annual billing toggle — pick the plan you want and follow the checkout. The same page is where you switch between monthly and annual billing. Plan limits (runs per month, team members, history retention) are compared in Plans & Billing.
How do I cancel?
From the Subscription page, click Manage billing to open the Stripe billing portal and cancel there. After cancellation your account becomes read-only: you can still log in and view existing tests and reports, but test runs are blocked until you subscribe again. Your data isn't deleted when you cancel.
Where are my invoices?
In the Stripe billing portal — open it via Manage billing on the Subscription page. The portal has every invoice and receipt for download, and it's also where you update your payment method if a charge fails (a failed payment puts the subscription in a past-due state; you keep access while it's retried).
Is there a free trial?
Yes — subscribing to any plan for the first time starts with a 14-day free trial. Every feature is available during the trial (usage is capped at 500 test runs and 50 AI credits until it converts), and your card isn't charged until it ends. The trial is offered once per account — re-subscribing later starts a paid period right away.
